Getting into Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has become one of the most performed tasks in the internet today. It gives business a new and easier way to be successful. The main purpose of SEO is to generate traffic; more traffic means more chance of getting customers. Driving traffic to a website is a long process that requires constant work and dedication.

One way of getting traffic is one-way linking. It is considered as best method in optimizing a website. The said method does not require any payment at all, but only time and effort.

 

Ways of Getting Free (One-Way) Links

 

1. Social Bookmarking 

Social bookmarking allows the user to store the links of their site to a webpage. Thus, other individuals with the same interest can easily look for the site by simply keying the right tags when searching. As your site is being bookmarked by other individuals, the chance of getting more traffic is only a step away.


2. Blog Submission 

In SEO, blog somehow gives customers the information or references about a certain website. Links are often put in a blog article content to drive visitors directly to your website when the hyperlinked text is clicked. It give visitors the benefit to link to it and leave a comment.

 

3. Press Release Submission

A press release or press statement is a recorded statement for making announcements. Its purpose is to provide announcements, information's for new product launching, services, news and others about a company or business.

 

4. Free Directory Submission 

One-way linking can also be done by submitting your website to free directories. Be cautious and keep in mind to only submit your site to relevant categories. Avoid the top enemy of SEO--the link farms. A submitted website is later evaluated manually to determine its relevance. It usually takes a week or months to know if your site is approved or rejected.
