Cost of Having an Optimized Website

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

Having a website optimized in Search Engines is not that easy. Changes are permanent to the website itself, which, once implemented rarely has to be revisited.  The cost might be broadly split into two. First, all onsite changes must be completed. It will entirely depend on the changes of the current site set-up. It also includes things such as changes to the coding of the pages and internal linking structure. Always involved are the title tags and Meta data and sometimes include minor changes to the content. We know that content is a very important method to be optimized in SERP. So, you must put something unique or good on your website content to be optimized.

Second, money is necessary for the on-going optimization campaign to see quick results on your website optimization in SERP's, The core is a very carefully targeted link building campaign that not only builds trust for your site within the internet, but also educates the search engines to your website's relevance to the search terms to be able to get good ranking.

The financial plan does not depend on the size of your website; often, a nice large site costs less to rank than one that is too small. The price will completely depend on the strength of your competitors, the amount of search terms, and the state of your website.  An old website with a medium level of difficulty may cost a greater amount of money.

Actually, the only cost involved for optimizing your site is time and generating quality content for your website. If you have these, money is not necessarily needed.

The process of building high quality incoming links is one of the trickiest aspects of search engine optimization. It is also the single most important thing you can do to improve your rankings. I think we all know that the more inbound links a page has, the more popular it is, and thus, more preferred by search engines.

Building up enough incoming links to appear relevant to the engines without tripping any one of the many spam filters and penalties is the challenge for most websites. There is a secret to getting it right. Take the search engine's point of view when building your incoming link structure.

Natural links structure is the key point to remember in search engines' structures, because search engines hate artificial links.

Here are some of the strategies that I want to share with you. But let me fist discuss the difference between natural and artificial links.

  • Get links through Natural and Artificial links

Natural links vary in anchor text while artificial links tend to be identical. Also natural links increase slowly as referral sites add links one by one over time, while artificial links can grow in great numbers all of a sudden.

Natural links are inclined not to be reciprocal. However, Artificial links; rely a lot on link exchange tactics, suggesting that the link's sole purpose is reciprocity, having little or nothing to do with adding value for the site visitor by way of providing valuable content.

  • Wisely choose your links

It is helpful that link approved will add better value to your page popularity, but also contributes to the relevancy of your topic.

  • Get links from trusted pages

The best option is to acquire links from pages that are trusted. Trusted pages are     sites that already have a number of subject-related links on the referring page.

  • Fewer Number of links

Remember that the fewer the number of links on the referring page, the better.

  • What sites to avoid

Run-of-the-site links must be avoided. They are simply links to one site that appear on every page of another site. Usually they're added in to the site footer or a standard block of ads that appear on every page. So, you must avoid these because it is not helpful to your campaigns. They may trigger some sort of penalties in SEO.

Hence, before accepting links from other websites, make it sure that the site links to your website is safe, and/or not a spam, as well as helpful enough to build traffic for your website in SEO.

Google has presented its latest method of ranking well in the Google's search result page, the click through rate (CTR). I believe many will be happy about Google's latest method. Click through rate is a process which ranks the paid search results, which is why Google decided to use this kind of method.  It was originally exclusively used in regular search results or organic search results. This is a really good system because the more clicks an ad gets, the higher it will be ranked in the search results.

Is it worth it to consider CTR?

The click results from top 10 are all have similar click partners. A certain percentage of web surfers click on the first result, fewer people click on the second result, even fewer people click on the third result, etc.

In general, the distribution of clicks on the different search results is similar for all keywords. For example, the usual number of clicks on results 1 to 10 is from top to bottom. 1 is the top and 10 is the bottom. But if one web page in the search result received an unusually high number of clicks then Google could easily find that out.

Another example, result number 6 receives more clicks than the average number of a number 6 result, so it means result number 6 is appealing to many users for some reason. Google of course wants to return the best and most attractive search results. The more clicks on a search result, Google might decide to give that page a higher ranking on the result pages.

For this reason, Google would rank eye-catching web pages higher, and at the same time searchers would be happier with the search results. As usual, a website that has good quality content, obtains more benefits.

There is still a strong demand for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) in the market. BPO analyst, Nelson Hall said, BPO market is predicted to reach $450 billion (£231.1 billion) by 2012 in response, in part, to difficult global economic condition.

It said the economic climate would rush globalization that brings the organization, not just only using offshore outsourcing to reduce cost base, but also develop it to hasten entry to increasing growth market. This strategy is exactly obvious in the financial services and telecommunication sectors as well.

The BPO market continued to mature in terms of supplier capability, usually around the accounting, sales and administration lines of business. The increased supply-side maturity was also harmonized by growth in total value of BPO deals awarded across all major geographic regions during 2007.

It is also stated that customer management services, payment and other specific industry financial sector services trends, as well as recruitment process outsourcing will directly be benefited.

Therefore, the increased demand of BPO in Asia and Latin America, where global organizations are increasingly focusing on establishing themselves for growth, is the key factor why BPO still emerges in all business sectors, in spite of the economic global crisis.

is a process or strategies for search engine optimization. It is done off the pages of a website to improve and maximize its performance in the search engines for target keywords related to the page content.

Basically the concerns of off-page optimization are page rank and link popularity.

Page rank indicates the importance of a website based on its popularity in search engine. The most important pages on the internet are websites or pages with the most links leading to them. Page ranking is considered voting because links or what we called as backlinks, where a page linking to another website, are measured as votes.

Link popularity is directly proportional to quantity and quality of a website, linking to specific websites in the World Wide Web. There are other methods of linking strategies that are considered in off-page optimization. These include:

  • Public Relation is a practice of promoting a favorable image of an organization.
  • Article Distribution is the act of submitting your articles through various websites or destinations but not limited to article sites, article email groups and non-article sites accepting special and specific articles.
  • Social Networking is useful in popularizing your website via sites like Digg, Faves, Delicious, Slashdot, Face book and etc.
  • Link Campaign is a complex strategy, consists of exact elements, provided to supply web site with quality inbound links, monitoring and analyzing them.
  • Directory Listings is a process of submitting your website links to specific category listings.
  • Link Exchange is the process of exchanging reciprocal link or links swapping. By doing this, your website traffic and link popularity increase.
  • Blogging is also a helpful in online marketing by blogging the keyword contents of your web site.

On-page Optimization is very important to a website because it makes a major factor in search engine optimization. On-Page Optimization is the process of preparing actual pages for your website. The role of On-Page Optimization is to correct website design mistakes and rewrite the website's text content and Meta tags if and when necessary.

Things to do in Meta content:

  • Page Title: 1-2 of the most important keyword phrases for your website should be included. Preferably, around 8 to 10 words or 70 to 90 characters including spaces.
  • Meta Description Tag: Is insightful of the content on the page. Between 20 to 25 words or 250 characters including spaces is preferably used. The main keyword is included at the beginning of this tag.
  • Meta Keywords Tag: It contains the keyword phrases that are also used in the copy of the page, Title tag, Meta description, and other tags. Adding plurals and common misspelling is also advisable.

Things to do in Web Page Theme

  • Filename: You should use the main keyword/ key phrase. In case of key phrase use "-" as separator (e.g. "file-name" and not "filename")
  • H1, H2, H3 header text: This is simply means the definition of the font size. For SEO the order of importance is descending starting from 1. Using style sheets (css to define the size, font and color of the H tags) is advisable.
  • Bold Text/ Emphasis/ Strong/ Capitalized: These tags are used highlight portions of text which are more important.
  • Alt Tags: Keyword relevant Alt tags give name to the images. If the browser cannot display images, these tags are displayed, and also explain the image to the search engines.
  • Title Tags for Tables: It serves similar purpose for the table as title tag does for the page.
  • Internal Link Structure: Relevant content and consistently spread internal links helps in optimization and page ranking.
  • External Link Structure: You should be careful with the external links, you should only Link to a relevant websites because it might not be helpful to your PR. You do not want to send the spider away from your website unless it has seen enough.

Things to do in Keyword Density and Spread

  • First text on Page: Having keyword as the first word on the page it's a very helpful method. If the first word cannot be the keyword, have it in the first sentence or the first paragraph.
  • Keyword Density: You should maintain 5- 8% keyword density on a webpage. Keyword density affects page ranking in almost all major search engines.
  • Keyword Spread: One should take care to have keywords throughout the webpage. First and last paragraphs are giving more importance for some search engines, while others read through the entire page.
