Social Media is a medium for webmasters to optimize their site as for the purpose of marketing or popularity. By this method, it generates publicity through online communities and community websites. Social media optimization is related to search engine marketing, but varies in several ways  it mainly focuses on driving traffic from sources other than search engine, while increasing or improving search ranking as a success benefit of SMO. Social Media Optimization's whole function is to popularize a website in the Social Media Network and make users aware with the site's existence.

To some people, Social Media Networking is just a social site for conversation and connection. But in marketing aspect, Social Media Network is one way to optimize a site and promote a product or service in relation to its field. The advantage of publicity to promote or endorse a product or services with social media is unbeatable. Social media is very convenient, so why indulge in this social media networks to increase publicity and promote the product or services you want to advertise to compete in this modernized and advanced generation.
